Trump Education Policy: On Socialism in School, Revisionist History & Progressivism—Williamson Evers
The information provided on Youtube says:
In what ways has education in America dramatically transformed over the past century?
How exactly is the Trump administration’s approach to education different from that of the Obama administration?
What has been behind the push for common core, and how has it affected the US education system?
This is American Thought Leaders, and I’m Jan Jekielek.
Today we sit down with Williamson Evers, who served as head of the Trump transition team for the Department of Education. He served as the U.S. assistant secretary of education for policy a decade ago, and is currently a research fellow at the Hoover Institution.
We discuss what Evers considers to be the greatest problems facing the education system in America today, including glaring omissions in today’s history textbooks, as well as the contemporary debate surrounding school choice.
This is an excellent video—well worth the time it takes to watch/listen to.
